4. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information for the following purposes:

ARQuantis does not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We may disclose personal information to:

- Professional advisers: lawyers, accountants, and auditors, under confidentiality obligations
- Regulators: ASIC, APRA, the ATO, and other government bodies where required by law
- AFCA: in connection with a complaint or dispute resolution process
- Successors: in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of our business, subject to equivalent privacy protections
We require all third parties to handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act and the APPs.
6. Overseas Disclosure
ARQuantis stores and processes all client data in Australian data centres. We do not routinely transfer personal information overseas.
In limited circumstances, some of our service providers (such as cloud software vendors) may store data on servers located outside Australia. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure those providers are subject to privacy obligations comparable to the APPs, or we obtain your consent.
By providing us with your personal information, you acknowledge that we may disclose it to overseas recipients in the circumstances described above.
7. Data Security
ARQuantis takes reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. Our security measures include:
- AES-256 encryption for data at rest
- TLS 1.3 encryption for data in transit
- Role-based access controls and multi-factor authentication
- Annual third-party penetration testing
- Staff training on privacy and information security obligations
- Incident response procedures compliant with the Notifiable Data Breaches (NDB) scheme
If we become aware of a data breach that is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required under the NDB scheme.
8. Access and Correction
You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, and to request correction of information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant, or misleading.
To make an access or correction request, please contact our Privacy Officer (see section 13). We will respond within 30 days. In some circumstances we may be unable to provide access (for example, where it would unreasonably affect the privacy of another individual), and we will explain why.
We do not charge a fee for making an access or correction request, but may charge a reasonable fee for providing access where the request is complex or requires significant resources.
10. Direct Marketing
We may use your contact details to send you research, insights, regulatory updates, and information about our services, where you have consented or where we have a legitimate interest in doing so.
You may opt out of direct marketing communications at any time by:
- Clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send you
- Contacting our Privacy Officer directly (see section 13)
We will process opt-out requests within five business days. We will not use sensitive information for direct marketing purposes.

If you believe we have breached the APPs or this Privacy Policy, you may lodge a complaint with our Privacy Officer. We will acknowledge your complaint within two business days and respond within 30 days.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal obligations. The current version will always be available on our website, with the date of last update noted at the top of this page.
